Danika is the founder and creative visionary behind Blomma Flicka Flowers. Growing up in the midst of her parents' extensive flower and vegetable gardens in Northern Vermont she was imbued with the daily creativity that formed the essence of her childhood and childhood home. After graduating from Middlebury College with a degree in biology, Danika returned to her home town of Greensboro and created a gardening business with her sister before starting Blomma Flicka Flowers in 2002. She continues to find inspiration in her surroundings, gathering from her gardens to complement her favorite flowers from the market, a combination she hopes strikes a balance between natural flair and artistic design. She appreciates that Blomma Flicka Flowers allows her to be immersed in all the best elements of nature, beauty, and celebration.

Nicole has worked in design for over 10 years. She partnered up with Danika Johnson at Blomma Flicka Flowers in May of 2007 after leaving behind her career in fashion in New York City to move up the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. While her main focus had been design directing for clothing lines, she has also worked with many types of design doing everything from graphic and web design to jewelry and even homeware design.  Nicole is happy to be able to combine her love for design and her love of nature in the work that she does at Blomma Flicka Flowers. She is also enjoying being out of the city, and though she is still working hard, at least it’s easier now to find time to “stop and smell the roses”.

Luke joined Blomma Flicka Flowers in the spring of 2006 as the lighting and tree specialist.  He is comfortable with everything from the simplest ladder job to the most involved lighting and tree work, and brings calm presence, artistic vision, and meticulous attention to every job he works on. Luke is also currently learning the art of stone masonry and the finer details of garden design and installation.  Raised in Syracuse, NY, Luke has made the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont his home for the past three years.

Jo has worked with Blomma Flicka Flowers since the spring of 2006 and is as versatile with flower and design projects as she is in life.  Within Blomma Flicka Flowers she easily segues from floral arranging, to delivering, to lighting assistant, and has a quick mind for organizing and planning. In her former home of Key West, Florida, Jo worked as an assistant event planner.  In Vermont, Jo continues to work on events with Blomma Flicka Flowers, while being a special aide in the Montpelier schools and pursuing her own business as a hair artist.
